Adreno 610 Driver

Cause: Corrupt driver cache or Vulkan mismatch. Fix:

Go to Settings → Developer Options → "GPUViewer" or "OpenGL traces" (this shows basic API level, not driver revision).

Expected old version: Most stock phones run driver version 0130 or 0140.
Current stable driver (2024-2025): Versions 0230 or higher (or Turnip v24.x.x).

We tested a Redmi Note 9 (Snapdragon 662, Adreno 610) running the factory driver (V@0450.0) vs. an updated driver from a custom ROM (V@0520.0).

| Game/Test | Factory Driver (V@0450.0) | Updated Driver (V@0520.0) | | :--- | :--- | :--- | | 3DMark Wild Life | 475 | 523 (+10%) | | GFXBench Manhattan 3.1 | 17 FPS | 19 FPS | | PUBG Mobile (Smooth+High) | 28-32 FPS | 35-40 FPS (Stable) | | Call of Duty: Mobile | Occasional stutter | Smooth 50 FPS | adreno 610 driver

Conclusion: The driver absolutely matters. A 10-15% performance uplift is free performance.

If you own a phone with a Snapdragon 665/680 (Adreno 610) and are experiencing graphical glitches in games:

How to Update: You cannot download a standalone driver file from Qualcomm. The driver is integrated into the system firmware.

  • Conformance tests:
  • In 2020, Qualcomm introduced the Qualcomm Game Toolkit (available on the Play Store). This app allows Snapdragon 6xx, 7xx, and 8xx series phones to download separate GPU drivers without a full system update. Cause : Corrupt driver cache or Vulkan mismatch

    Steps to use it:

Real-world result: Users report a 5-8 FPS increase in PUBG Mobile on Smooth+Extreme settings after installing the Game Driver.

Qualcomm maintains driver support for 3-4 years post-launch. Since the Snapdragon 662/665 launched in 2019-2020, official driver updates from Qualcomm have slowed.

However: The community-driven Mesa Turnip driver project now officially supports Adreno 600 series, including the 610. As of Q2 2025, Turnip v24.2.0 supports Vulkan 1.3 on the Adreno 610, which Qualcomm never officially certified. We tested a Redmi Note 9 (Snapdragon 662,

Verdict for longevity: If you want to keep your phone gaming for another two years, you must move to a custom ROM (like crDroid or ProtonAOSP) with integrated Turnip drivers. This is the only way to get modern graphics features on legacy hardware.

If you are looking for a driver because you are running an Android emulator (like Bluestacks, LDPlayer, or Nox) on a PC with a different GPU (Intel/AMD/Nvidia), you do not need an Adreno 610 driver.

If you are using a Windows on ARM device (e.g., a tablet with a Snapdragon chip):
