Aka Levels Zip Work

The second component of our keyword, "ZIP work," is the most misunderstood. In the context of AKA and similar service organizations, "ZIP" is not about computer file compression (WinZip). Instead, it is an acronym that stands for Zero-based Investment Planning, or in older manuals, Zoning Intake Process.

Engines like Unity or Unreal Engine utilize this structure. When a level loads, the engine reads the ZIP manifest (Level 0), identifies the AKA IDs for the terrain textures (Level 1), and streams them.
