To truly master the Amadeus Simulator, you must go beyond basic bookings. Use the simulator to run these complex scenarios:

Drill 1: The Multi-City Emergency Create a PNR for a passenger flying Chicago (ORD) to Tokyo (HND) on July 1st, then Tokyo to Sydney (SYD) on July 10th, then Sydney back to Chicago on July 20th. Use FXX to apply a round-the-world fare rule.

Drill 2: The Name Change Retrieve a dummy PNR. Cancel the existing name (XN), add a new passenger (NM), and re-price the ticket. Note the penalty fare rules (fictitious in simulator).

Drill 3: The Waitlist Find a flight that is full (the simulator loads specific dummy flights as "CH" - Closed status). Add the passenger to the waitlist using SS with the WL code. Then, use RF (Redisplay flight) to see if a seat opens.

The following Amadeus entries are currently supported:

| Category | Example Commands | |----------|------------------| | Availability | AN22JUNLHRCDG, AN22JUNLHRCDG/0800 | | Sell segment | SS1, SS2C | | PNR create | NM1SMITH/JOHN MR, AP LON 12345678 | | End transaction | ER | | Display PNR | RT | | Ignore | IG | | Fare display | FQD (simulated) | | Hotel/Car | HH PAR 22JUN, CA PAR 22JUN (basic) |

Note: This is not a full Amadeus replica – only high-frequency training commands are included.

Emperor Joseph II has a meter that fills by predictable means (Italian opera, simple melodies, flattery). Mozart’s meter fills by unpredictable means (breaking rules, scandal, vulgar jokes). The user must choose: imitate Mozart’s chaos (risking the Emperor’s disfavor) or stay safe (ensuring mediocrity).

Understanding how to retrieve a FQD (Fare Quote Display) or FXX (Fare Details with taxes) is vital. A high-quality simulator will generate dummy fares that mirror the logic of real airline pricing (round-the-world fares, APEX fares, and child discounts) without requiring actual credit card authorization.

The official product offered by Amadeus itself is the Amadeus Learning Edition. It is a cloud-based platform that provides access to a training database that mimics the live system.
