Bobdule Upd May 2026

Cause: The new version introduced a breaking change in your old bobdule.yaml config file. Fix:

End users see a single driver installation. When they print, Bobdule UPD automatically maps paper sizes, orientation, and color modes.

msiexec /i BobduleUPD_x64.msi /quiet /norestart

The installer adds the driver to the Windows Driver Store.

Sometimes a new UPD introduces regressions. If you need to revert: bobdule upd

Windows:

Linux (using apt):

sudo apt install bobdule=3.1.0-1
sudo apt-mark hold bobdule

Important: Rollbacks are only supported within two major versions. You cannot revert from v4.x to v2.x without a full OS restore. Cause: The new version introduced a breaking change

If you recently upgraded to Windows 11 24H2 or macOS Sequoia, your legacy Bobdule driver likely broke. The new bobdule upd includes signed drivers that pass Microsoft’s Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL) testing.

Before applying the bobdule upd, you need to know what you are running. Here is how to check:

On Windows:

On Linux (systemd):

systemctl status bobdule-daemon

Or check the package: dpkg -l | grep bobdule

On macOS:

/usr/local/bin/bobdule --version

If your version is lower than the latest stable release (check official changelog at bobdule.com/changelog), you need the UPD.
