This is the most overlooked part of the Daikin BRC1C51 61 installation manual. On the back of the circuit board (or inside the wall plate cover), there is a bank of DIP switches (usually 4 or 6 switches).

Tip: If the room temperature reading seems wrong, flip SW3 to ON if you have an external sensor wired to the indoor unit.

Terminal Block on the Wall Plate (labeled P1, P2):
Wiring rule: Polarity does not matter. Daikin uses non-polarized transmission. However, use a twisted pair or shielded cable to prevent electrical noise. Grounding:
Connecting to the Indoor Unit: Open the indoor unit’s electrical box. Locate terminals P1 and P2 (often also labeled for remote controller). Connect the other end of the same 2-core cable to P1 and P2 on the indoor unit's terminal strip.
