As of 2024, the original 0_sound.afs is no longer hosted on Konami’s official servers. However, these community-vetted sources remain active and clean:

Navigate to your PES 6 root folder (e.g., C:\Program Files\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 6\dat). Rename your existing 0_sound.afs to 0_sound_backup.afs. Konami no longer supports PES 6
That means you downloaded a disc image. You need to extract 0_sound.afs using AFS Explorer or DKZ Studio. Open the .iso with 7-Zip, navigate to /dat/, and extract the file.
