| Risk | Description | |------|-------------| | Copyright infringement | Angry Indian Goddesses is protected by international copyright law. Downloading or sharing it without the rights‑holder’s permission can expose you to civil lawsuits, fines, or criminal penalties depending on local law. | | Malware & ransomware | Many torrent files are disguised as movie files but actually contain trojans, ad‑injectors, or ransomware that can hijack your system, steal personal data, or lock your files. | | Poor quality & missing subtitles | Torrents often lack the high‑definition streams and accurate subtitle tracks that official releases provide. You may end up with a blurry picture, out‑of‑sync audio, or no subtitles at all. | | Ethical considerations | Filmmakers, actors, crew, and the many small‑businesses behind a production rely on legitimate revenue. Pirating deprives them of compensation and can hamper future projects that champion under‑represented voices. | | Network throttling & bans | ISPs in many countries monitor torrent traffic and may throttle your connection speed, issue warnings, or even terminate service for repeated infringement. |
