If you need the sound of Super Quartet but cannot get the plugin to work, Roland has officially replaced it. The sounds of Edirol plugins were largely derived from the Roland SR-JV80 expansion boards.

Why did this plugin become a cult classic?
Roland has officially discontinued Super Quartet. It has been succeeded by modern engines like the Roland Cloud (which features the Zenology and SRX series plugins). You cannot legally purchase a license for Super Quartet from Roland anymore, and official support servers for activation no longer exist.
If you have the original CD, the serial is on the jewel case. Common “abandonware” serials (use at your own risk) include XXXX-XXXX-XXXX formats. Some archive copies include a keygen – but keygens are often flagged as viruses (false positives for the most part, but dangerous).
