• Verify/repair game files:
  • Check file/folder permissions (PC):
  • Check for corrupted saves:
  • Remove mods / third-party save tools temporarily.
  • Run disk check:
  • Import/export profile fixes:
  • Reinstall game as last resort (after backup).

    • Navigate to: C:\Users\[YourUsername]\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\ If GTA IV folder missing, create it. Inside, create Profiles folder.

    After making these changes, restart GTA 4 and attempt to save manually from the phone menu (Menu > Game > Save).

    If the error started appearing after a crash, your save file may be corrupted. But you might be able to recover it.
