This is where the mod shines. You pick a location (e.g., The Jefferson Motel, The Four Dragons Casino, or the top of Mount Chiliad) and hold out as long as possible.
CJ can catch the infection. Stay in the rain too long or get bitten three times without finding a rare antidote (hidden in medical vans), and you will start coughing. The cough attracts zombies. Ignore it, and you eventually turn into an NPC zombie, forcing a game over.
It is a testament to the GTA San Andreas engine that mods like Left 4 Theft still feel fresh. It turns a game we have played a thousand times into something completely new. The feeling of driving a beat-up van through the misty streets of San Fierro while zombies chase you is an experience you can't get anywhere else. This is where the mod shines
If you love zombie games and you love GTA, this is the perfect mashup.
After playing 50+ hours of Left 4 Theft, here is how you survive Day One. CJ can catch the infection
1. Fortify the Mulholland Safe House The best base is the abandoned mansion on Mulholland Intersection. It has only two entrances (stairs and garage). Park a Fire Truck at the garage door. Zombies cannot destroy fire trucks.
2. The "Peds Riot" Cheat is your friend (sort of)
Enter the classic cheat BAGUVIX (Infinite Health in vanilla). In this mod, it gives you "Adrenaline Mode" for 60 seconds—double speed, but you cannot drive. Use it to run between safe houses. After playing 50+ hours of Left 4 Theft
3. Never sleep between 2 AM and 5 AM In-game time matters. Between 2 AM and 5 AM, the "Crimson Hour" occurs. Zombies sprint 300% faster and sense you from across the map. Find a roof or a submarine (yes, there is a working submarine mod compatibility) to hide.
4. The Radio is your enemy Turn off the car radio. The mod adds zombie-attracting frequencies. Alternatively, tune to Radio X – it actually repels the regular undead (but not the specials).
5. Use the Jetpack for supply runs The Black Project jetpack still works. Fly to the top of the tallest building in Los Santos. Zombies cannot climb. Snipe the horde below for easy XP (the mod includes a hidden XP system for health upgrades).
Surviving in the GTA San Andreas Zombie Adventure requires tactical thinking. A machine gun is great, but loud. Here is the meta:
