Inside you'll find a ROM.bin or XXX.bin (typically ~2–4 MB for HP 4530s).
Disconnect the programmer. Reinstall the RAM, CPU (if removable), and CMOS battery. Press the power button. The screen may remain black for up to 90 seconds as the ME region retrains. Be patient. Unlike an executable .exe update downloaded from HP’s website, the .bin file is a sector-by-sector copy of what lives on the 4MB, 8MB, or 16MB SPI flash memory chip on your motherboard.

You must open your laptop and physically look at the motherboard. You are looking for two things:
32 at the end (e.g., W25Q32FV), it is a 4MB file. If it says 64 or 128, it is 8MB or 16MB.Warning: Do not mix these up. Flashing a 4MB file onto an 8MB chip will cause a "Size Mismatch" error, and flashing the wrong board variant will result in no display or non-functional keyboard/trackpad.
Click Erase to clear the chip. Then click Blank Check to ensure the chip is empty.
Before erasing anything, always press Read in NeoProgrammer. Save this as backup_original.bin. This contains your unique LAN MAC address and Windows product key.
