Husqvarna Autocheck 3 -

The Husqvarna Autocheck 3 is a professional-grade diagnostic tool and software system designed specifically for Husqvarna’s BLi series batteries and battery-operated products (such as the 500i series chainsaws, K535i power cutters, and 520i hedge trimmers).

While the name includes "Autocheck," this is not a simple voltage meter. Version 3 represents the third generation of Husqvarna’s intelligent battery testing protocol. The system consists of two key components:

Unlike traditional battery testers that only measure current voltage and cold cranking amps (CCA), the Autocheck 3 communicates directly with the battery’s Battery Management System (BMS). It pulls a detailed health report, including charge cycles, temperature history, internal resistance, and firmware version.

Existing systems (Autocheck 2.0, competitor Bluetooth diagnostics) share three core limitations: Husqvarna Autocheck 3

Result: Intermittent faults (failing ignition coils under heat, clogged fuel filters at high load) remain undetected until catastrophic failure occurs in the field.

With Husqvarna’s release of the 72V commercial zero-turn mowers (the C-series), battery management has become even more critical. Those mowers utilize massive battery packs costing over $1,500 each. The Husqvarna Autocheck 3 is the only tool capable of validating those expensive 72V packs. As Husqvarna phases out gas engines in certain categories (like push mowers and light chainsaws), the Autocheck 3 will become as common in repair shops as a compression tester.

Husqvarna Autocheck 3 transforms the "automated check" from a discrete event into a continuous, ambient intelligence layer. By moving from snapshot diagnostics to generative forecasting, it eliminates the operator as the weakest link in equipment reliability. The Husqvarna Autocheck 3 is a professional-grade diagnostic

For fleet operators, AC3 turns maintenance from a cost center into a predictable, schedulable activity – directly improving uptime and margin.

The Husqvarna Autocheck 3 is a diagnostic and display unit designed for Husqvarna’s professional chainsaws (and some other outdoor power equipment). Its "long feature" refers to its ability to store, display, and help interpret operational history and fault codes over an extended period. Unlike traditional battery testers that only measure current

Here’s a breakdown of its key long-term features:

This is the flagship feature. The system "learns" how you cut. If you are burying the bar in hardwood, the system detects the load and adjusts the timing and fuel injection to deliver maximum torque. If you are limbing smaller branches, it optimizes for efficiency and throttle response.

This is a feature many users overlook. The Autocheck 3 allows service centers to update the firmware on the batteries themselves. Husqvarna frequently releases updates that refine charge curves or improve communication with newer tools. Without the Autocheck 3, your battery is frozen in time.

Next phase (2027): Integration with Husqvarna’s robotic mower ecosystem – cross-training wear models between handheld and autonomous platforms.
