At its core, the Jetion Camera App (often labeled "Jetion" or "GoPlus" depending on the firmware region) is a proprietary mobile application available for both iOS and Android platforms. It is designed to communicate with Jetion cameras via a direct Wi-Fi signal.
Unlike Bluetooth, which offers slow data transfer, Jetion opts for a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot within the camera. The app connects to this hotspot, allowing for high-bandwidth data transfer. This means you can watch 4K previews on a 6-inch smartphone screen, adjust complex exposure settings without touching the camera’s tiny buttons, and instantly download high-resolution footage to share on social media.
Jetion frequently releases firmware updates for the cameras, which indirectly improves the app's compatibility. To check for updates, you usually cannot do it via the app (unlike premium brands). You must visit the official Jetion website, download the .bin file to an SD card, and flash the camera manually. However, the app remains a static tool that works consistently across all modern Android (12+) and iOS (15+) devices.
The app features a built-in "Album" or "Media" section. Here, you can browse the SD card contents without removing the card from the camera. If you see a clip you like, you can download it to your phone’s local storage. Many versions of the Jetion Camera App include a rudimentary video trimmer and filter editor, allowing you to cut the start and end of a clip and post it directly to TikTok or Instagram.
