Unobtrusive convenience

Accelerator Keys runs quietly in your menu-bar. When Excel is open, the app watches for keystrokes, and uses the Accessibility API to display hotkeys and control Excel.

Why we built this

Mac users of Excel have struggled with the lack of alt-key shortcuts for the past 10 years with only painful workarounds available (see Reddit and Microsoft's forum).

macOS's increased support for accessibility features recently enabled a new way to control Mac Excel. Mac users can now use alt-key shortcuts without spending a lot or inconvenient setups. Give it a try!

Issues with current workarounds

  • Bootcamp: Inconvenient to switch between Windows and Mac partitions, when most of our apps are on the Mac partition. Read-only access to Mac files from Windows partition without paid third-party software. Requires an additional Office license (US$150 per year).
  • Running a VM (e.g. Parallels): Laggy and consumes a lot of CPU. Some keyboard shortcuts still don't work properly. And this isn't cheap — Parallels costs US$80/year, and you need additional Windows and Office licenses.
  • Buying a separate PC: Technically this works…but surely we can do better than buying a new computer?

How to Use Alt Shortcuts on Mac for Excel

Mac users have always struggled to use Windows-style Alt key shortcuts in Excel. Here's how Accelerator Keys solves this problem.

  1. Understand the Option Key: On a Mac keyboard, the Option key (⌥) is in the same position as the Alt key on Windows. While macOS doesn't natively support Excel's Alt-key ribbon shortcuts, Accelerator Keys bridges this gap by intercepting Option key presses and translating them into the ribbon commands you know from Windows.
  2. Install Accelerator Keys: Download Accelerator Keys and follow the simple setup wizard. The app needs accessibility permissions to detect keystrokes and control Excel—this takes just a few clicks to configure.
  3. Use Your Windows Shortcuts: Once installed, open Excel and press the Option key. You'll see the familiar ribbon navigation letters appear, just like in Windows. Type the same key sequence you use on Windows (like H, V, V for Paste Values) to execute the command.

Example: To paste values on Mac Excel, press Option → H → V → V — the same as Alt + H V V on Windows.

Julie 2 2025 Boomex Malayalam Originals Short Hot ✔ < EXTENDED >

Notable Cameo: The original Julie heroine makes a 30-second appearance via a video call in the climax—a moment that test audiences reportedly greeted with gasps.

To understand the hype around Julie 2, we must revisit the impact of the first installment. The original Julie (2023) on BoomEx was a sleeper hit—a psychological drama that used the "short hot" template to explore urban loneliness, desire, and betrayal in just 42 minutes. It ended on a cliffhanger that left fans demanding more.

For two years, rumors swirled about a follow-up. In late 2024, BoomEx confirmed production, announcing that Julie 2 would double down on the raw, unfiltered aesthetic that made the first film a cult favorite.

Keyword Context: The term "Short Hot" in BoomEx’s glossary refers to premium originals running between 35–50 minutes, designed for binge-watching in one sitting, with a high-stakes, sensorially charged narrative. Julie 2 is the flagship title of this vertical.

Warning: Mild spoilers ahead.

The story resumes exactly 72 hours after the events of the first film. Julie (played by newcomer Anamika Rajeev) is no longer the naive college student we met in 2023. She has transformed into a calculated femme fatale navigating the underbelly of Kochi’s nightlife.

Official sources describe the plot via a single tagline: "She burned the past. Now she plays with fire."

Unlike the 2-hour film format, Julie 2 (2025) uses a vertical narrative arc:

The short format eliminates subplots, instead using lifestyle montages (cooking, curated apartment tours, coffee shop conversations) as narrative devices. julie 2 2025 boomex malayalam originals short hot

The Malayalam digital entertainment space has witnessed a paradigm shift with the introduction of franchise-driven, short-form originals. This paper analyzes Julie 2 (2025), a BoomEx Malayalam Original, as a case study in the convergence of nostalgic erotic-thriller tropes with contemporary lifestyle aesthetics. Unlike its feature-length predecessors, Julie 2 adopts a short-episode format (15–20 minutes) designed for mobile-first consumption. This draft paper argues that the series re-contextualizes the "Julie" archetype from a purely sensational figure to a nuanced protagonist navigating urban Malayali lifestyles, mental health, and digital-age relationships. We examine the series' narrative economy, visual grammar, and audience reception within the broader context of BoomEx’s strategy to dominate the premium regional short-content market.

Based on BoomEx’s 2025 Q3 report (simulated data):

The series effectively functions as a gateway title for BoomEx, drawing in viewers through nostalgic IP, then retaining them via relatable lifestyle content.

The Malayalam digital space is about to witness a seismic shift. After months of silence and fan speculation, the streaming giant BoomEx has officially pulled the curtain back on what is arguably their most ambitious project to date: "Julie 2" .

Scheduled for a Summer 2025 release, this Malayalam original is already breaking the internet—not just because of its legacy, but because of its unique label: “Short Hot.” In an era where OTT platforms struggle to balance artistic expression with mass appeal, BoomEx is betting big on this high-intensity, compact narrative format.

Here is everything you need to know about the plot, the heat, the runtime, and why "Julie 2 (2025)" is the most anticipated short-format thriller of the year.

The entertainment industry is suffering from "series fatigue." Audiences are tired of 10-hour seasons with slow pacing. The Short Hot format—pioneered by BoomEx with Julie 2—solves this. Notable Cameo: The original Julie heroine makes a

One critic who attended a private screening noted: "Julie 2 respects your time. It enters late, leaves early, and stays in your head for days."
