The season introduces a new, ancient threat: Morro, the Master of Wind. Morro is not just another villain; he is the "one that got away"—the first apprentice Master Wu took on before Lloyd was ever born. Wu believed Morro was the Green Ninja prophesied to defeat the Overlord. However, when it was revealed that Morro was not the "Chosen One," bitterness consumed him. He disappeared into a cursed cave, never to be seen alive again.
Now, Morro returns as a fearsome ghost warrior, but he requires a physical body to fulfill his dark destiny. His goal? To find the Tomb of the First Spinjitzu Master and obtain the Realm Crystal, an artifact capable of opening rifts between the sixteen realms.
To achieve this, Morro possesses the body of Lloyd Garmadon, the current Green Ninja. This possession arc forms the emotional core of the season.
