In the ever-evolving world of Minecraft redstone, few things are as satisfying as a perfectly executed trap. Whether you are protecting your diamond stash from raiders on a factions server or simply pranking your friends on a private SMP, the mechanics of entrapment have come a long way.

Gone are the days of obvious TNT holes and cacti walls. Enter the Lovely Craft Piston Trap 3.0.

This design represents the third iteration of one of the most compact and lethal trapping mechanisms in the community. It is faster, quieter, and more difficult to detect than its predecessors. Dig a hole 4 blocks deep, 5 blocks wide, and 5 blocks long. At the very bottom, place your Soft Catch: Alternating Slime Blocks and Hay Bales. This ensures no fall damage.

Before we dig into the build, gather the following items. All are obtainable by mid-game in Lovely Craft:

Unlike the 2.0, which dropped victims onto sharp spikes (killing them instantly and destroying loot), the 3.0 defaults to a Hay Bale + Slime Block landing zone. This means you can trap players alive or capture rare mobs for your zoo.
