Mimi Cucu Part 1 is the first installment in the KelasBintang production house’s horror anthology spin-off, focusing on the eerie folklore surrounding Mimi (a ghostly grandmother figure) and Cucu (grandchild). The story follows Raya, a young woman returning to her ancestral village after her estranged grandmother’s mysterious death. She soon discovers that her family has been bound to a pamali (taboo) involving a grotesque, shadowy figure called Mimi who appears every full moon to claim a “cucu” as repayment for an ancient sin.

Ardi finds the mannequin in the basement, wearing Mimi’s favorite kebaya. Its eyes move. Its wooden lips whisper: “Run, Nak. She’s already learned your shadow.”
