The sky above Oakhaven turned black. Not with night—with wings.

The second beast, the Stymphalian Bird, had awakened in the mod’s most feared structure: the Aviary of Screams, a floating obsidian nest held aloft by chains of pure lightning. Unlike the Tsuchinoko, this beast had no interest in deals. It was a creature of pure, automated destruction. Its feathers were razor-sharp iron shards. Its cry could shatter glass and ear drums. And it was hungry. Minecraft Legendary Beasts Mod 1.7.10

The mod’s lore was explicit: the Stymphalian Bird had once been the world’s immune system, culling overpopulated villages. But without the pact, it now targeted anything that moved.

Kael’s village was in its flight path.

They had no time for another shrine. The bird would arrive by dawn. So they did what any desperate Minecrafters would do: they built a trap. Borin designed a colossal cage of redstone-powered pistons and obsidian, a cube one hundred blocks on each side. Lin crafted arrows tipped with slime balls and fermented spider eyes—a paralytic agent from the mod’s own recipe book. Kael would use the Whisper Step to phase inside the bird’s nest and plant a "Heart of the Void" (a rare drop from the mod’s Wither Wraith) to short-circuit the beast’s iron core.

The battle was not a fight. It was a storm. Add a Hunting Master villager (new profession) in

The bird descended like a thrown javelin, its iron feathers singing a death-hymn. Lin’s first volley of paralytic arrows struck true, but the bird simply shook them off—its metallic hide was immune to poison. It turned on her, beak opening to release a sonic screech. Borin threw a lever, and a wall of obsidian slid up just in time, absorbing the blast but shattering into a thousand fragments.

Kael ran. He phased through the bird’s dropping guano (which was, horrifyingly, molten iron) and used the Tsuchinoko’s gift to step into the bird’s own leg. For a terrible moment, he existed inside its circuitry—gears of rage, cogs of hunger. He found the core: a pulsating, red-hot heart. He stabbed it with the Heart of the Void.

The bird froze. Its iron feathers fell like rain, harmless now. Its eyes, once blazing suns, dimmed to embers. It collapsed into the cage, not dead, but reset. A new rune appeared on its breast: the mark of the pact, renewed.

But the third beast was already awake. And it was nothing like the others. Use a Beast Altar (new block) to upgrade
