This series is not pure Muhaqqaq but a hybrid of Muhaqqaq and Naskh. The KFGQPC Uthman Taha Naskh includes Muhaqqaq-influenced characters. It is available as a free, full download for personal and commercial use via 1001 Fonts.

For the technical user, GitHub hosts repositories like "Arabic-fonts" or "muhaqqaq-ttf." These are raw, often unpolished, but completely free and full. Look for the "Al-Muhaqqaq-Regular.ttf" file. Always check the license (MIT or SIL Open Font License are best).

Before downloading a file, it is crucial to understand what Muhaqqaq is. It is not merely a "style" like Arial or Times New Roman; it is a geometric system based on the rhombic dot (the square of the alif).

While "free download" is tempting, you must understand that a true, professional-grade Muhaqqaq font (like "Ghalib Al-Naskh" or "Mothanna") can take a calligrapher and type designer over 2,000 hours to create. If you find a paid font by a foundry like Arabic Type Foundry (ATF) or Khatt Books, it is ethical to pay for it if you are a commercial designer.

If you use a free font commercially without checking the license, you risk legal action. Always read the EULA.txt.
