  • Click Next. In the driver list, select Generic → Generic / Text Only.
  • Name it "NCR 7198 EPIC Text".
  • Do not share the printer.
  • Print a test page. Note: This will not support receipt paper gaps, cash drawer kicks, or barcodes—only raw text.
