This is where many deployments fail. Map the OVA’s network adapters correctly:

Note: The VM-Series supports up to 10 vNICs. For a simple gateway deployment, three is sufficient. Pa-vm-esx-10.1.0.ova

Navigate to Device > Licenses.

Without a license, the firewall will not pass traffic after the trial ends. This is where many deployments fail

In vSphere Client, right-click the VM, go to Console, and select Open Browser Console. You will see the Palo Alto boot sequence. Once booted, you will see a login prompt. Note: The VM-Series supports up to 10 vNICs

Once the VM boots (allow 3–5 minutes on first boot), you must perform initial setup.

Choose the specific ESXi host or cluster with sufficient CPU and RAM.
