Thamira’s direction is deliberately slow-burn. He does not hold your hand. There are no background scores that scream "get ready for a twist." Instead, he uses diegetic sounds—the hum of a ceiling fan, the clatter of tea glasses in a police station, the rain on tin roofs—to build atmosphere. This grounding in reality makes the violence hit harder.
