If your game launcher is buggy, force the DX9 mode manually.
This crash typically occurs immediately after launching the game. It suggests a driver conflict, missing Visual C++ runtimes, or a corrupted game file.
re5dx9.exe relies on Microsoft Visual C++ libraries to run.
Step 1: Do NOT simply delete it. Some malware recreates itself instantly. re5dx9.exe
Step 2: Run a full antivirus scan.
Step 3: Boot into Safe Mode with Networking.
Step 4: Check startup entries.
Step 5: Delete only after verification.
Step 6: Change your passwords.
If keylogger malware was present, assume your passwords are compromised. Change them from a different, clean device.

If re5dx9.exe is anywhere outside the actual game folder, treat it as dangerous.
