L380-l382-l383-l385-l485-l386 Adjustment Program — Reset Epson
This is the hardest part. Epson does not officially release this tool to the public (they want you to pay for service). You must find it from third-party sources.
Inside your printer, there is a felt-like sponge (or a removable waste ink box, depending on the model). This sponge absorbs ink purged during head cleaning. If you reset the counter without replacing or cleaning the sponge, the printer will continue to dump ink onto an already saturated pad.
Consequences:
Golden Rule: Only run the adjustment program after you have physically tended to the waste ink.
If you cannot find a working reset tool or your motherboard is locked, consider these options: Reset Epson L380-l382-l383-l385-l485-l386 Adjustment Program

If you want to avoid future problems entirely, combine the software reset with a physical cleaning once every 2 years.
