Even professionals hit snags. Here’s how to fix them.

| Error Message | Cause | Solution | | :--- | :--- | :--- | | “File Not Found” | Wrong folder name or file name | Ensure folder is SATLINK and file is ws6933.bin. Check for hidden file extensions. | | “Header Error” | Firmware is for wrong hardware version | Double-check your H/W version. Re-download the correct file. | | Update frozen at 0% | Corrupted SD card or low battery | Reformat SD card using FAT32 (not exFAT). Charge unit fully. | | Boot loop after update | Factory reset not performed | Remove SD card, power off, then hold Menu + Power to enter recovery mode and reset. | | No signal after update | Database mismatch | Re-run a “Blind Scan” for your target satellite. New firmware may have cleared old transponder lists. | Do not interrupt this process

Step 1: Download a satellites.xml or default_db.sdx file from satellites-ce.org (updated weekly).
Step 2: Convert it for WS-6933 using the free Satlink DB Editor (available on GitHub).
Step 3: Copy the converted .sdx file to USB root.
Step 4: On the WS-6933: Menu → Data Transfer → Import Database → Select file → OK.

This will instantly add all C-Band and Ku-Band satellites with current frequencies (e.g., Astra 28.2E, Hotbird 13E, Eutelsat 5W).
