As of April 2026, the FBR has issued or updated the following seniority lists and promotion notifications:
BS-22 (Highest Rank): Recent promotions include high-ranking officers such as Dr. Hamid Atiq Sarwar , Tehmina Amir , and Mohammad Iqbal .
BS-21: Key officers in this bracket include current Chairman FBR Rashid Mahmood Langrial (appointed August 2024). Former Chairman Asim Ahmad also held this rank during his tenure.
BS-19: A final seniority list for BS-19 "Small Cadre" officers was finalized in late 2021, while more recent promotions for BS-18 officers to BS-19 occurred in April 2025, featuring names like Sadeea Nadeem and Naveed Akhtar .
BS-18: Regular promotions of BS-17 officers to BS-18 were notified in May 2025, including Haroon Rasheed Khan , Saqib Maqsood , and Malik Asfand Yar Khan .
BS-17 (Entry Level/Probationary): Seniority for the 48th Common Training Programme (CTP) was finalized in November 2025. The 52nd CTP officers, such as those beginning training in late 2024, will have their inter-se seniority fixed after qualifying the Final Passing Out Examination (FPOE).
