Simrip 3 Top ✪
For new operators, mastering the SimRip 3 Top takes about 15 minutes. Follow this workflow for perfect straps every time.
Step 1: Strap Preparation
Cut your PET or PP strap to length, allowing a 10-15cm overlap. Wrap the strap around your load and insert both ends into the tool’s strap channel.
Step 2: Tensioning
Position the tool flat against the load. Pump the tensioning handle back and forth. The dual-gear system will click on each stroke. Continue until the desired tension is reached—you’ll hear the pitch of the strap change.
Step 3: Sealing (Friction Weld)
Without releasing tension, flip the sealing lever forward. Then, pump the sealing handle vigorously 4-5 times. You’ll feel the friction head vibrate. This melts the strap fibers together. simrip 3 top
Step 4: Cut and Release
Pull the cut-off lever to trim the excess strap tail. Finally, open the tension release lever and remove the tool. Inspect the weld—it should appear as a smooth, slightly darkened rectangle.
Pro Tip: Always perform a one-minute preventive check before your first strap of the day (see maintenance section below).
The SimRip 3 Top is a high-tension, manual strapping tool designed primarily for polyester (PET) and polypropylene (PP) straps. Unlike fully automatic machines that require a power source and a fixed station, the SimRip 3 Top is a portable, hand-held tool that empowers operators to secure heavy-duty loads with exceptional tension and a secure friction weld seal. For new operators, mastering the SimRip 3 Top
The "3" in its name denotes the third generation of SimRip’s renowned manual tensioner-sealer series. The "Top" signifies that this is the premium variant—engineered for high-cycle environments, heavy loads, and operators who refuse to compromise on seal integrity.
Common Issues
In the crowded market of manual strapping tools, the SimRip 3 Top earns its name through tangible, real-world performance. It bridges the gap between inexpensive, low-tension consumer tools and expensive, pneumatic-powered industrial machines. In the crowded market of manual strapping tools,
For warehouse operations seeking to reduce per-strap cost, minimize worker injury claims from repetitive strain, and secure loads that survive cross-country shipping, the SimRip 3 Top is not just an option—it is the benchmark.
Whether you are strapping lumber, corrugated boxes, or automotive parts, this tool delivers consistent, high-tension friction welds with a user experience that prioritizes efficiency. Upgrade to the SimRip 3 Top today, and feel the difference on your very first strap.

The "Top" moniker refers to the upgraded hardware stack within the chassis. While the base SimRP 3 offers standard resin curing, the Top variant introduces:
Baling recycled materials is notoriously tough on tools due to dust and uneven strap surfaces. The sealed gearbox on the SimRip 3 Top prevents contamination, while the friction weld eliminates the need for metal seals, which can contaminate recycling streams.
