La décima temporada es un caso interesante. Marcó el final de una era (siendo la última temporada producida para televisión antes de las películas), pero también mostró una vitalidad sorprendente gracias a la consolidación del nuevo elenco y la amenaza más formidable que el SG-1 había enfrentado hasta entonces.
Para entender por qué la temporada 10 es considerada "Top", debemos recordar el contexto. La serie ya había "terminado" en la temporada 8 con un final perfecto. Sin embargo, el público pedía más. La temporada 9 ya había sentado las bases de un nuevo enemigo: los Ori. Para la temporada 10, el equipo creativo ya no tenía limitaciones. Why it’s top-tier: A contemplative, heartbreaking, and ultimately hopeful finale. Trapped on the Odyssey inside a time-dilation field that slows time to a crawl relative to the rest of the universe, the team lives out decades of their lives together. We see Teal’c grow old, Mitchell learn to play the cello, and Carter wrestle with unspoken love. Unlike a typical action finale, “Unending” is a character study about regret, sacrifice, and the bonds of found family. The final act—Daniel sacrificing his memories of the Asgard core to save everyone—is a masterclass in bittersweet resolution.
