This paper investigates the specific user demand for Malayalam films dubbed into Tamil on these platforms. Using a mixed-methods approach (surveys of 500 Tamil-speaking internet users and content analysis of piracy forums), the study explores why legitimate over-the-top (OTT) platforms fail to satisfy this demand.
