This has been one of my favorite songs for years. I contacted Rick back in 2002 about collaborating, partly because I had sung this song so many times. The recording is from Rick's Praise Classics 2 CD. - Elton, September 12, 2009

Lyrics

Lord, I lift Your name on high.
Lord, I love to sing Your praises.
I'm so glad You're in my life;
I'm so glad You came to save us.

You came from Heaven to earth
To show the way.
From the Earth to the cross,
My debt to pay.
From the cross to the grave,
From the grave to the sky;
Lord, I lift Your name on high.

Lord, I lift Your name on high.
Lord, I love to sing Your praises.
I'm so glad You're in my life;
I'm so glad You came to save us.

You came from Heaven to earth
To show the way.
From the Earth to the cross,
My debt to pay.
From the cross to the grave,
From the grave to the sky;
Lord, I lift Your name on high.

You came from Heaven to earth
To show the way.
From the Earth to the cross,
My debt to pay.
From the cross to the grave,
From the grave to the sky;
Lord, I lift Your name on high.

You came from Heaven to earth
To show the way.
From the Earth to the cross,
My debt to pay.
From the cross to the grave,
From the grave to the sky;
Lord, I lift Your name on high.

The real turning point in the VS MOBI battle happened recently. For years, Amazon held a wall up, refusing to support EPUB on Kindle devices. They clung to MOBI and their proprietary AZW format.

However, in late 2022, Amazon delivered the knockout punch to MOBI. They announced that their "Send to Kindle" service would officially support EPUB files. Simultaneously, they began phasing out support for the aging MOBI format for new uploads.

Why? Because MOBI is an aging technology. It doesn’t support the modern CSS styling that makes modern eBooks look beautiful. It’s the VHS in a streaming world—functional, but outdated.

When you see the prompt subject: "vs mobi", it’s easy to get confused. Are you comparing two companies? Two file formats? In the world of domain names and web development, .VS and .MOBI are two very distinct extensions with different purposes.

One is a trendy, niche country-code domain for a specific industry. The other is a legacy generic domain created for the mobile internet era.

Let’s break down the key differences, use cases, and future potential of .vs versus .mobi.

The battle of VS MOBI is effectively over. While MOBI served us well during the pioneering days of digital reading, it has been outclassed by more versatile, open standards.

Technology moves fast. We moved from physical pages to pixels, and now we are moving from rigid, old file formats to fluid, modern ones. It’s time to retire the .mobi extension and embrace the new standard.

Are you still using MOBI files, or have you made the switch to EPUB? Let us know in the comments below!

The "vs Mobi" debate flips here. Speed is great, but can you build a complex sales funnel?
