The most common reason to buy a Zclever camera is motion alerts. Here is how to set them up correctly to avoid false alarms (caused by shadows, bugs, or car headlights).

Path: Open Camera Live View -> Click Settings (Gear icon) -> Motion Detection or Alert Settings.

Recommended Settings:

Testing motion: Walk in front of the camera. Within 5 seconds, your phone should receive an alert. If not, check your phone's "Do Not Disturb" settings and ensure the app has permission for notifications (Phone Settings -> Apps -> Zsmart -> Notifications -> Allow).

Q: Can I view my Zclever camera on a PC? A: Yes, via the CloudEdge web portal at cloudedgeweb.com, or by using an Android emulator like BlueStacks.

Q: Does the Zclever camera work with Alexa or Google Home? A: Yes. Enable the “CloudEdge” skill in Alexa or “Smart Life” action in Google Home. You can then say, “Alexa, show me the front door camera.”

Q: Why is my video lagging? A: Slow Wi-Fi or long distance from router. Move camera closer or install a Wi-Fi extender. Reduce video quality from 2K to 720p in settings.

Q: Can two people watch the same camera? A: Yes. Share the camera via the app: Profile → Home Management → Share Device → Add the other user’s email (they must have a CloudEdge account).

Q: How long does the battery last on a wireless Zclever camera? A: Only wire-free models have batteries. Typically 1–6 months depending on motion triggers. Recharge via micro-USB.
