Windows 10 is generally good at automatically detecting hardware, but for legacy motherboards like the H61, it often fails to find the specific High Definition Audio driver required for the onboard sound ports to function.
Enter BIOS (Del/F2 on boot) > Integrated Peripherals > HD Audio Controller > Set to Enabled. If set to "Auto" or "Disabled", sound won't work.
