If you Google “Tokyo Hot,” you’ll quickly find two very different worlds.
One is a famous adult film studio. The other is Tokyo in summer — a humid, relentless, electrifying heat that turns the city into a sauna from June through September.

You don’t need to seek out the adult side of “Tokyo Hot” to feel the heat. Just walk through Dōgenzaka at 11 PM. The energy alone will tell you: Tokyo runs on a different thermostat at night.
